How to do BMW Fxx coding via INPA 5.06

Yes, INPA software works with BMW Fxx Chassis, so long as you have the Fxx .IPO files installed.

It will use whatever interface you have defined in EDIABAS.ini, so BMW ENET cable is fine. Also,ICOM A2 is definitely ok.

Here is my INPA 5.06 with Fxx Scripts:

INPA is not updateable with SP=Daten as it uses only the .PRG files in EDIABAS and its own .iPO files.

Here is a full INPA with F and E series for you to download, but no one holds the responsibility for what you will do.

BMW Standard Tools 212 - Install First
  • Includes (EDIABAS v.7.30, Tool32 v.4.03, INPA v.5.06, WinKFP v.5.31 & NCS Expert v.4.01).
INPA_Fxx_v.2 - Install Second
  • Copy INPA_Fxx_v.2 folder to C:\EC-Apps\INPA_Fxx_v.2 and EDIABAS to C:\EDIABAS overriding existing EDIABAS Folder.
  • Run INPALOAD.exe from INPA_Fxx_v.2 BIN folder (C:\EC-Apps\INPA_Fxx_v.2\BIN\INPALOAD.exe).
  • Note: For Exx connection, you will need to change EDIABAS.ini file to « INTERFACE = STD:OBD » and edit OBD.ini Com Port settings accordingly to match you PC’s Com Port settings.
The quick diagnose with inpa is much easier and faster than ista/d…. and also for zb-numbers to find…

In sum,


1) AK500 with SKC (SK110) has no 8PIN EEPROM adapter holder, because AK500+ with SKC only needs to read out EIS data and send the data to SKC calculator to calculate, then complete key matching;
The old version AK500 has 8PIN EEPROM adapter holder to help read and write ESM data, because AK500 needs to de-solder EIS, ESM and ESL ECU when it makes Mercedes Benz key.

2) AK500 with SKC (SK110) support more car models than old version AK500.

3) AK500 pro can’t make key if without SKC calculator; while old version AK500 pro can make key.

4) AK500 pro with SKC calculator doesn’t contain external EEPROM (M95xxx), so it does not need to deal with M95xxx, because AK500+ pro contains SKC calculator, after ak500+ read out EIS data and send it to SKC calculator to calculate, the key data is acquired; The old version AK500 key Pro contains 95XXX, AK500 need to remove chip 95XXX and weld it on the 95XXX adapter.

Read Golf MK4 EDC15 with KWP2000 or MPPS clone

I had error with KWP2000 plus ECU flasher when read Golf 4 1.9 TDI ALH edc15 ecu.


Hello, I do have an Golf MK4, and bought an KWP2000+ adapter to read the ECUs file.
The injectors and the Turbo is upgraded, so I have to change maps a bit.

I got the ECU Information out correctly, but when I started the readout process, the kwp2000 software told me to take fuse 11 out, after doing this, I got the message “Error setting transmission Timing”. Do I need an direct Plug for the ECU and remap it at home?
I also unplugged the Radio, did not help at all.

Any ideas?

Yes you better unplug KWP2000 and do it on table, alone

If solution 1 failed, try solution 2. 100% works.

KWP2000 is crap, buy better tool to start.. When you don’t want to spend much money, buy mpps v16 clone, works very good with the EDC15 ecu’s in car and table.

VVDI MB BGA or FVDI to change Mercedes W221 mileage

Cannot change mileage on a 2009 Mercedes-benz w221 via OBD? Need to fit filter/blocker in EIS and do dash only?


NO! I did 6 merc w221 using FVDI obd without any issues.. there is an instruction on how to do it step by step in the abrites manual…. can do all control unit with it. need like 1.5 to 2 hours to finish it. it block can between IC and EIS.


I only have the R270 programmer at the moment and digiprog 3 so I think can blocker is going to be the cheapest way. If for Mercedes only, vvdi mb tool should be the best choice…program keys and repair dash km..all ok.


Here, two methods i wanna talk about…

(Easiest) Using Fvdi abrites commander obd change mileage:

 Backup important files

Open Special Function ‘CGW (ZGW) Explorer” to read the EEPROM and the flash memories of Central Gateway (CGW) control.  Back up EEPROM and the flash dumps as files in your hardware.

FVDI Mercedes will automatically back up EEPROM and the flash memories file when it reads them. The backup files should be installed on C:/Program Files/ABRITES software for IDXXXXXX/Mercedes.

Select S-class W221

Select EEPROM, click Read EEPROM and save it to a file after EEPROM has been read.


Select Flash and click Read Flash and save it to a file after FLASH has been read.

Select Flash and click Read Flash

Modify ASSYST and ASSYST PLUS service history records


Select the ZGW type “W221”

Click on “Get Current” to see the internal data

Click on “ASSYST PLUS Service Memory” to view different service history

Enter “Main Odometer”, “Operating Time (Days)” and “Number of Oil Changes” to alter all this information.

Click on “Yes” when FVDI ABRITES program asks to set the information for the different service history records.

Enter detail for each record.

For example: If the vehicle has 3 records, you need to enter the details for 3 service intervals. The values for the day cycle counter should be entered in an increasing way.


Change the main Odometer in Dashboard, EZS & CGW

change the odometer in Instrument Cluster as well as in EZS and CGW module

Open “Odometer Correction” special function and select S-class W221

Then click on “Get Odometer”

Select “Set Odometer” to load EEPROM and Flash dumps

NOTE: Make sure the ignition is ON when click “Set Odometer” button


(Good for Mercedes) Using vvdi mb bga tool repair dash mileage:


Vvdi mb tool is a good solution of mercedes read & write keys/CGW (ZGW), EIS & ELS tools, password calculation of working keys and lost all key, prepare key file, renew ECU/gearbox/ISM, repair KM, etc.


It can repair dash km for models as below:

  1. C(W204), GLK(X204), CLK(W207), E(W212), SLS(W197), CLS(W218)
  2. R-Class(W251), GL(X164), ML(W164)
  3. E-Class(W211), CLS(W219)
  4. S-Class(W221), CL(216)
  5. W166, W172, W246, W231
  6. W205

If you want block KM synchronization between EZS and dashboard, you need backup CGW(Gateway) EEPROM and FLASH before write KM


block KM synchronization require update Gateway FLASH and EEPROM. You can provide the FLASH and EEPROM that you have. If you don’t provide these files. We will use the FALSH and EEPROM from Gateway, only need some time to read it.
